Social Justice
The Saint Joan of Arc Social Justice Group seeks to contribute to the fulfillment of our parish mission to be a "family strongly committed to faith development, education and social justice".
Our goal is to help the SJA Parish realize this commitment to social justice, and contribute to the building of God's Kingdom of justice and peace. To this end, we strive to promote awareness and understanding of existing injustices in both our local and world communities, and to encourage parishioners to participate in actions that make a difference and lead to effective social change.
Our activities are guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, which recognize the dignity and worth of all people. We invite involvement by the entire parish in outreach to our own community, and globally to our sister parish in Coban, Guatemala.
Our parish contacts for the Social Justice group are Liz Boyd and Jim Konrad.
For information on our activities or to join the group, please contact the rectory, 314-832-2838.
